Kathleen Fitzpatrick International Researcher in Residence School

Professor Janeen Baxter recently hosted the 2025 ARC Kathleen Fitzpatrick International Researcher-in-Residence School at The University of Queensland. The inaugural international researcher-in-residence, Professor Laura Bernardi (University of Lausanne, Switzerland), an expert in life course research, family dynamics, social disadvantage, and gender inequality, led three days of seminars/lectures, discussions, and networking for nineteen ECRs and higher degree research students from a diverse range of disciplines.
The final day of the school included a career journey discussion panel facilitated by Professor Janeen Baxter and included Professor Ariel Kalil (Daniel Levin Professor, University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy), Stacey Ross (CEO Centre of Women and Co.), Professor Rebekah Levine Coley (Professor of Counseling, Developmental, and Educational Psychology and Director of the Institute of Early Childhood Policy, Boston College) and Associate Professor Leonora Risse (University of Canberra and Research Fellow with the Women’s Leadership Institute Australia).
